Preview of the 2023 Japanese Grand Prix

Exploring key takeaways from past races that might influence the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix. This much-awaited event is the sixteenth race on the 2023 Formula One schedule, scheduled for this weekend. Is the Red Bull Racing squad poised to reclaim its championship title?

Carlos Sainz remains a threat!

From his earlier season form, Carlos Sainz has improved dramatically. He occasionally struggled in the first part of the season, but his recent efforts have been nothing short of outstanding. Sainz, though, really achieved new heights in Singapore. He had excellent speed right from the start of the weekend, setting the pace in Free Practice 2 and 3 before winning pole position on Saturday, much like his performance at Monza. He showed flawless race management abilities, remaining calm in high-stress circumstances. Sainz’s ability to strategize emerged as he maneuvered the difficult racing circumstances with amazing skill to upset Verstappen finally!

Verstappen to get back to winning ways!

Max Verstappen has dominated in the 2023 Formula 1 season, winning an impressive twelve out of fifteen races. His teammate, Sergio Perez, clinched the top spot twice in the remaining races. However, the latest race brought unexpected results, with Verstappen and Perez missing the podium. Verstappen’s fifth-place finish was commendable, given his car issues during qualifying and tire troubles during the race, showcasing his remarkable skill and resilience. If the Red Bull Racing Team fixes Verstappen’s car issues, he should comfortably return to winning ways in the Japanese GP.

Another podium finish for Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton was seen looking discontented even after clinching P3 in Singapore. He was quoted in the post-race interview saying that he’s keen to rediscover the qualifying form he believes stopped him from exploding at the Singapore Grand Prix after Mercedes’ late race charge took him back to the podium. The Mercedes secured P3 after team-mate George Russell crashed. He’s one to keep an eye on in the forthcoming Japanese GP.

Japan Formula 1 2023 race prediction

Carlos Sainz’s podium finish

  • Carlos Sainz is poised for a podium finish. With a recent victory in Singapore and securing the last two pole positions at Singapore and Monza, he’s a big bet to get another Podium finish.
  • Following his triumph in Marina Bay, Sainz enters this race with a surge of confidence, eager to replicate his success. Ferrari has shown remarkable progress in recent weeks, benefiting from car upgrades and astute strategic decisions. This has propelled the Madrid native to the forefront as Ferrari’s most formidable contender, making him a genuine threat to challenge Red Bull’s dominance.

Pick: Lando Norris to win.

Odd: 3.50

The Japanese Grand Prix is set to deliver exhilarating racing action, with Carlos Sainz as a standout performer to watch.
